The family Rostas has been living in Brussels for 6 years while keeping the Roma traditions. Maria (in the center) live in a very small house with her parents and her 5 brothers and sisters.

Maria has been at the school Les Tournesols in Brussels since 4 years.

Maria doesn't speak a perfect French yet but it's not a reason to not get along with her classmates.

While the children do their homeworks, Luminita, the elder sister is preparing dinner. At 19 years old, she's 8 months pregnant. (October 2010)

Sibilca has given birth to Samuel (one year on the picture). Samuel is Belgian wheras Sibilca keeps her Romanian nationality.

Nicolae and his brother are getting ready for a wedding. The hat is a tradionnal Roma habit.

Maria and her family lived in the North area of Brussels known to be the prostitution area but also for cheap rent. In June 2011, her parents found a bigger appartment in a better area of Brussels.

In their modest appartment near the North station of Brussels, it was frequent to have electricity cut.

Maria's mother and her daughters have been following by a security guard in a commercial center of Brussels. Without doing anything, they have been accused to be thiefs. She's now waiting for a metro to go back home.

In June 2013, Luminita gave birth to her second child, Armondo. Like Milika and Samuel he's a belgian roma boy.
